My Life at Christmas with Anita Rani – Series 4

Series Four – Broadcast: December 2025 (BBC1)

My Life at Christmas returns to BBC1 with Anita Rani in intimate conversations with Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, Baroness Floella Benjamin and Ade Adepitan reflecting on life, faith and festive memories.

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster

In a rare in-depth interview Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster welcome Anita Rani into their home to discuss their lives, family, fame and faith and how Christmases past and present have helped shape them. During an intimate fireside chat, Christmas crafting with Penny in a festive greenhouse and a stroll with the couple around the stunning grounds of their countryside home, their conversation covers everything from Rod’s rise to fame as one of the 20th century’s rock icons, Penny’s transformation from model to Special Constable in the City of London police, and trading Christmas gifts with Elton John. A festive treat not to be missed.

Ade Adepitan

Anita Rani meets Paralympian and broadcaster Ade Adepitan to hear his inspirational life story and how sport, spirituality and the festive season have shaped him. From contracting polio as a toddler in Nigeria, to growing up with a disability in 1970s East London, to the rocky road that led to Paralympic glory with the British wheelchair basketball team. Now a respected broadcaster, Ade shines a light on causes close to his heart. Anita discovers his life-affirming Christmas story.

Baroness Floella Benjamin

Anita Rani pays a Christmas visit to Baroness Floella Benjamin, a pivotal figure to generations of young TV viewers. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Floella arrived in London aged 10 as part of the Windrush generation. Together, they retrace that journey and reflect on her extraordinary life shaped by faith and the festive season: from stage actor and iconic Playschool presenter to businesswoman, child rights campaigner, Dame and Baroness, even playing a role in the coronation.
